  1. Hi Polly!

Loved 5 & 6: Don't try to figure everything out on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything...now that's one for my pillowcase. :)

  3. Hi, everyone! I haven’t commented yet, but I’ve been reading right along with you the past three days. I love how God is teaching us all from His Word and we can share it here. Great idea, Pol!

Since most of you probably don’t know me, let me introduce myself. I met Polly when I was her roommate for three INCREDIBLE years at Taylor. I now live in Ohio with my wonderful husband and four precious children, age 5-12. ( And I wish I could take pottery classes from Sarah, too!)

I’ve learned something new about Proverbs this week. The three characters we will read about in Proverbs are the “wise” (who has mastered the skill of Godly living), the “fool” (who steadily opposes God), and the “simple” ( who is committed to neither wisdom or folly, but is easily misled). Wow. I’m so convicted to really pursue wisdom because I’m afraid is very easy for me to be like the “simple”. Prov. 2:1-4 shows how I need to actively and diligently seek the Lord, I can’t be passive and hope it’ll all work out. Prov. 2:6 “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding”. What comes from His mouth? The words He gave us in the Bible! And it should be my driving goal in life to know all that He tells us about Himself in the Bible. In Prov. 3:13-35, God tells us how good it is when we know all about Him. It is so encouraging to me!

Well, I’m not trying to win a prize for the longest comment here…sorry. I’m just really excited about this. It’s good, good stuff!

    1. Bob, i see it!!!! :)
You are still the best roomie ever and i apologize because your comments were going into SPAM for some crazy reason? I all of a sudden found them all!! hehe. :)

I LOVE what you had to say and yes... i can be SIMPLE so easily and i want to diligently seek the Lord, too. Why is it so easy to just pray it works out ok? It's like packing a lunch (seeking diligently) or just hoping you find something to eat when you get there. No wonder we walk around confused and hungry all the time, huh?

see people? how i got so blessed to have such an amazing college roomate? :)
Thanks, Bob!!!!! and i cannot believe Daniel is 5 already!!!

  4. wow, ok! just got done reading all of your posts over the past couple of days! you girls rock! Polly is smart to read ahead for the weekends, because they do get crazy. I forgot all weekend! :( but i'm all caught up now :)

First of all: i'm going to be staying away from immoral women! haaha, i don't know if it is just my version of the Bible, but the past 3 chapters had a lot of warnings against immoral women and prostitutes!

haha, but on the serious side, Proverbs 6-4: Don't put it off, do it NOW! I am queen of procrastination so this is my verse! I think i'll make a clay plaque and hang it in the studio!

    Have a good week everyone!
