I love when happy tears well up and your throat aches. :)
Well our girl got her hair curled, a mani/pedi (from her momma!), found a little sparkly purse that barely held all the essentials (lip gloss, dance ticket, $, phone, gum, granola bar), and we made it! I saw the look on her daddy's face when she was all ready and i felt a little pang in my belly.
ouch. but i loved it.

and after all that fuss, D and i are ready for a movie in our jammies. :)
p.s. Ab went with a group of friends and i have some CUTE photos of them together but didn't think i should post them on a blog since they are not my kiddos. :)

awww Heather! I know... just think of Chris watching Summie and Katie walking out the door to their first dance. gulp. Something about girls and their daddys.
DeleteLove you! and girl, i did not fix her hair. We had a girl do it and it took over an HOUR, they didn't wash it first, that all curl time! eeks! She used a flat iron and lots of hair spray. Ab got home at 1:30am and it was still pretty curly! The dance was over at 11pm but they went to a friends house and watched movies, got pizza, etc. So fun. But today... her daddy and i are feelin' it. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Lizzy! She had so much fun. Being with friends was the best part, but the dance was fun too! She said they all took off their pretty shoes as soon as they got there and danced the whole 3 hours bare foot! ha. :)
